Medics have warned that a new coronavirus-related syndrome affecting children has seen several admitted to intensive care.
A report by the Health Service Journal, refers to an ‘urgent alert’ issued to doctors about the new syndrome, following a rise in cases.
It comes after Prime Minister Boris Johnson told Brits that the lockdown will continue - as he "will not throw away" the sacrifices made to prevent the disease spreading.
Likening the killer virus to a mugger, Mr Johnson, making his first speech since returning to work after his own Covid-19 battle, said the country is at the time of "maximum risk".
