Fewer than half of employees believe that their workplaces have been made “Covid-secure”, a poll has found.
As the government urges people to return to workplaces, research by the Trade Union Congress has suggested that many companies are not taking adequate measures to protect employees from the coronavirus.
A survey of more than 2,000 workers in England and Wales found that 46 per cent did not think that their employers had introduced safe social distancing. Thirty-eight per cent were certain that Covid-secure risk assessments had been carried out, while 42 per cent reported being given adequate personal protective equipment.
