It is thought the Prime Minister will end his policy encouraging employees to work from home if possible – and head back to the office. A number of MPs are pushing Boris Johnson to ‘urgently review’ official Government advice, which still says people should work from home when they can.
They are concerned about getting the economy moving again, despite the PM saying in recent days that workers should consider going back into the office.
Mr Johnson said in an online question and answer session with the public on Friday: ‘I want people to go back to work as carefully as possible. It’s very important that people should be going back to work if they can now.
‘I think everybody has sort of taken the “stay at home if you can” – I think we should now say, well, “Go back to work if you can”.
